LOGLINE: A vibrant re-imagining of Romeo and Juliet, this stylized musical follows two star-crossed teens from rival families in a culturally divided neighborhood. When their forbidden love goes viral, chaos erupts through dance battles, on line scandals, and a hilarious narrator who may or may not control the plot. STORY:

*Romyo & Julie Mae* is a raw, modern reimagining of Shakespeare's timeless tragedy, set in a divided urban landscape where love is as dangerous as it is transformative. Romyo, a gifted street poet with a past scarred by violence, and Julie Mae, a classically trained dancer from a family entrenched in political ambition, are star-crossed not just by their families, but by the ideologies and histories that raised them. Their unexpected meeting sparks a connection that defies the rigid social order around them, pulling them into a secret romance that threatens to upend everything — alliances, reputations, and their personal safety. As their love deepens, the walls around them close in. Each choice they make — to hide, to trust, to rebel — pushes them further into danger, as their respective worlds demand loyalty over love. Julie Mae’s struggle to reconcile her public identity with her private heart mirrors Romyo’s own desire to escape the cycles of retaliation that have defined his life. What begins as an innocent bond soon becomes an incendiary act of defiance, with consequences that neither fully sees coming. It’s a story of tenderness forged in chaos, and of two souls desperate to write a new future — even as the past tightens its grip.
